BRUCE blows in

We made it through a hurricane/We tore it apart and put it back together again. . .

So here’s to all our friends in New Jersey, New York and everywhere else that finds itself riding headfirst into the oh-so-ironically-named Hurricane Sandy. Hunker down, grab hold and hang on tight.

It’s dark and rainy here in Portland, Ore. right now, but there’s no wind to speak of and so it’s basically business-as-usual, which in my case means that BRUCE’s publication date has arrived. The thing is out and around and ready to be snapped up for your personal perusal and reading pleasure.

I’ll be back soon with a whole other post about the audio book — including a 10-minute preview in easily streamable mp3 format. And do you like video trainers? I’ve got three more of those to post, too.

Now let’s check in with the reviews:

NEWARK STAR-LEDGER: Two stories, actually. Here’s Jay Lustig’s feature/review. And here’s Stan Goldstein.

USA TODAY – Oct 29. Read it here

HISTORY NEWS NETWORK – Oct 29. By Jim Cullen: “Of the dozens of books written about Bruce Springsteen — including one by yours truly — this unauthorized biography is the most important.” Check it out here.
