All new BRUCE appearances, readings, paperback and etc.

In which we cyber-visit Asbury Park, tour Brazil (for real), venture to South Carolina and celebrate a paperback release…

August 23, 9:30 pm: Asbury Park, NJ, the Show Room Cinema – Following a screening of “Gun Crazy,” I’ll be talking with novelist/noir expert Wallace Stroby about the influence of cinema and literary noir in Bruce Springsteen’s work. Via Skype from the opposite coast but maybe we can figure out how to knock the feed back to black & white, in which case I’ll wear a fedora and smoke and dab my forehead with a handkerchief on account of this endless (if imaginary) heatwave.

September 19, 7 pm, Sao Paulo, Brazil, the Saraiva Bookstore, Ibirapuera Street, 3103 (Ibirapuera Mall): Book release event for the Brazil edition of BRUCE. I’ll be interviewed and do some kind of q&a with attendees, who I assume will be speaking Portuguese while I respond in English. I have no idea how that will work, but other people obviously do and I’m sure it’ll be great good fun.

September 20, 7 pm, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, the Saraiva Bookstore, Lauro Muller Street, 116 – Botafogo (Riosul Mall) Book release event for the Brazil edition of BRUCE. More details as they emerge…

News on more Brazilian dates/media appearances (including a live interview from the Rock in Rio festival on the day of Springsteen’s headlining show on September 21) as details emerge.cover

Greenville, South Carolina, 3rd week of October (almost certainly the 3rd week, anyway): Plans are still being finalized but there will be a public reading/q&a/etc at a bookstore and I’ll have all the details here asap.

And did I mention the American paperback edition of BRUCE? I’m sure I did. But just in case you missed it, it comes in mid-September and will look exactly like this ———->
